This will be one of 2012′s most sought after beers! Barley wine is a big bold style of beer, very heavy on the malt, more mellow on the hops (traditionally). As a style, barley wine is usually aged before packaging.  Backburner is Southern Tier’s version, and this year, it’s aged in bourbon oak barrels! I am expecting the flavors in this beer to be otherworldly! It is an extremely limited release, only available on draft and only at 3 bars in the Orlando area: Taps Wine, Beer and Eatery in Winter Park; World of Beer in Lake Mary and World of Beer in Altamonte Springs. This beer may never be made again, go get it right now!
