Hop fans, this is your beer! Hoptical Illusion is a single hop IPA, kind of like a single malt scotch… this beer focuses on that single hop variety (though other varieties are included, for their contributions to the style), keeping things clean, simple and delicious.

Every year, the buyers for Blue Point take a road trip to an undisclosed family farm, deep in the heart of Oregon. There, they buy an entire crop of hops.  The hop variety is a closely guarded secret, but this hop only grows on that particular farm, and is sold to no other brewer. Talk about exclusivity! These mystery hops give the beer a distinct ‘berry’ flavor, right in the middle of the taste profile. If you’re not looking for it, you’ll probably miss it amongst the citrus and pine flavors that we expect from our American varietals, so pay attention!

The name comes from old superstition: ancient Egyptians believed that the aromatic flowers of the hop vine would give them vivd, psychedelic dreams, if they were stuffed into pillows. A ‘hoptical illusion’, if you will!

This beer is available at most high end grocery stores, bars and restaurants around Central Florida.
